Mary’s Gone Crackers

Healthy eating is an essential part of maintaining a fit and wholesome life. Here at S.O.F.T. we try to provide you with a few recipes to make at home but there are so many other health and food products out there. Often times we don’t have time to cook a meal, or we’re looking for a good snack that we can get in the stores that won’t destroy our diets, or even what about the times we go out to eat and are trying to figure out the best thing to get that is still good but healthy. Our goal here is to help alleviate the confusion surrounding these issues by giving reviews of products and restaurants to help make your life a whole lot easier and maintain a healthy living style.

Mary’s Gone Crackers

I know I am a person who loves chips but they’re not necessarily the best thing for you usually being packed with a lot of oils, salts, and other additives that don’t benefit your body in any way. Not to mention they can be very high in calories. So whenever I find a cracker that is good for me and eating them wont set me back a good 200 calories for only five chips I’m always sure to try them. I came across Mary’s Gone Crackers. The first thing I noticed about these was that they were organic so that’s automatically a plus in my book. It doesn’t stop there though, they are also gluten free, non-GMO, vegan, whole grain, kosher, wheat free, dairy free, peanut/nut free, and contain 450mg of omega-3’s per 1 oz serving. So basically any type of allergy or food restriction that you have there’s a good chance you’ll still be able to eat these. With this being said though you have to wonder what are actually in these and do they taste good? I will put it out there that you’ll probably either love or hate these but I will recommend giving it a try to see for yourself. Especially considering that 13 crackers is only 140 calories.

When you look at them they look like little seed crackers but when you try it they are crisp and snap when you bight into them. They have a rich, nutty flavor, with a hint of savor depending on the flavor you get. Turns out they are actually pretty filling too. They also come in a variety of flavors including their Original, Herb, Black Pepper, Super Seed, Hot ‘n Spicy Jalapeno, Caraway, and Onion. I currently have a box of the Herb flavor and just eat them plain when I’m in the mood for a chip like food or something with a crunch. Though, for those who may not like them straight out of the box like this they would also be good with cheese or even some type of spread, and considering they are relatively low in calorie you don’t have to worry so much about what you put on them.
